Obamacare, officially known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), is one of the most transformative health care initiatives in U.S. history. Introduced in 2010, the program was designed to expand access to affordable health insurance, protect consumers from restrictive practices by insurance companies, and reduce the overall costs of health care in the country. As a government initiative, it has impacted millions of Americans, providing coverage to those previously uninsured and offering new avenues for preventive care.
As the lead graphic designer for Obamacare’s social ad campaigns, I was tasked with crafting compelling visuals to communicate complex health insurance concepts in a clear and engaging way. These designs played a key role in reaching a diverse audience, from young adults exploring catastrophic plans to families looking for comprehensive coverage. Each design focused on accessibility, inclusivity, and empowerment, ensuring that the message resonated with a wide demographic.
